Central and Eastern Sydney PHN established an LGBTIQA+ working group 2024 and continues to meet monthly to address LGBTIQA+ health needs in the central and eastern Sydney PHN.
The LGBTIQA+ Needs Assessment for the 24/25 FY illustrates the importance and need to focus on providing health services for the central and eastern Sydney region.
The LGBTIQA+ Working Group has achieved:
Developed a CESPHN LGBTIQA+ webpage
Developed a CESPHN LGBTIQA+ Position Statement
Developed the working groups Terms of Reference.
Organised an ACON LGBTIQA+ Introduction training for all CESPHN staff.
Attended meetings for the National PHN LGBTIQA+ working group.
Collecting six monthly data on the Central and Eastern PHN commissioned service dashboard around data LGBTIQA+ .
Celebrated IDAHOBIT in the CESPHN office with an overview of the LGBTIQA+ community and lived experience stories.
Celebrated Mardi Gras with a Drag Trivia in the CESPHN office.
